"Muslim male may marry a non Muslim but a Muslim female must marry ONLY a Muslim.". This is true in the case of Sunni Islam.
NOI Islam does not permit Muslim women from marrying/dating anyone but Muslim men, In NOI Islam the Muslim women are just as free to marry/date outside their religion as Muslim men are. I have had relationships with both Muslim and Christian men, and there is really no law in the Qu'ran that requires Muslim women to ONLY marry a Muslim man. However, if a Christian wants to marry a Muslim they have to accept that any children born from said union between them will be raised as Muslims because Allah has given a law that the Muslim spouse's children will follow his religion Islam.
