This was the key part of a happiness paradigm report which was released at a United Nations conference recently. The report was released by Jeffrey Sachs, Director of the Earth Institute. Sachs report noted that social factors involving strength of social support, the absence of corruption and the degree of personal freedom were factors of full happiness over having the money, wealth or fame. The report also indicated that happiness could be achieved achieved independent of economic well-being as measured by a country's groos national product. The World Happiness reported was presented at the UN conference titled "Happiness and Well-being-Defining a New Economic Paradigm to representives from all over the world in governments, academics and civic leaders. The report also listed a number of practical suggestions for governments to promote happiness among their citizens, including helping people meet their basic needs, reinforcing social systems, implementing active labor policies, improving health services , labor polices and practical health services. Many of the reps noted what makes them happy which involved a relationship with God, family closeness, friends and meeting people from different cultures as part of their unique paradigms to stay well and be happy.
