Scientists in Russia have taken a seedling that was possibly buried by squirrels over 30,000 years ago and brought the seedling to life. The Silene stenophylla plants grows in the corner of a Russian lab thriving with blooms. The seeds from in suspended animation by the freezing cold conditions which served as a "frozen gene pool" . Scientist feel this may be a breakthrough for some early life forms which have long vanished from the earth's surface.
