STUDY REVEALS UNSETTLEING RAPE OF AMERICAN WOMEN (508 hits)

A recent study released today states that nearly 20% of women in the U.S. were victims of a rape. The study also indicated that at least 25% have been attacked by a partner or a husband. This report was issued from the CDC. More unsettling results of the study contested that more than 24 people reported a rape, violence or stalking in 12 million cases reported. The study included key figures with
*more than one million women were raped in the 12 prior to the survey,
estimates show more that six million women and men were a victim of stalking

*more than 12 million women and men reported rape, physical violence or stalking by an intimate partner over the course of a year.

More revealing study results told that almost 80% of rape victims suffered their ordeal before the age of 25. Some 35% were raped among the age of 18. The study involved 9,086 women and 7,421 men from around the U.S. Many rapes among men were done while they were inmates in prison institutions. The study mentioned that at least 1 out of 71 men have had some form of rape at some point in their lives and usually before the age of 25 years of age.
