Newark, NJ (April 19, 2011) -- They are calling on 10,000 Strong for Peace and justice. The Newark Anti-Violence Coalition (NAVC) will host the longest running anti-genocide (anti-violence) demonstration in the United States at the steps of Newark City Hall. They will be joined by Parents of Murdered Children (PMC), a community-based anti-violence group composed of parents who have lost their children to violence. Both groups will protest together to bring attention to Black and Brown violence plaguing the city of Newark and to call for justice for the victims of violent crime! This demonstration will make the 91st straight week the NAVC has been organizing anti-genocide (anti-violence) rallies in the city of Newark, NJ.
