Toxic Toss Outs - Cleaning products that may be ruining your health
Today on Dr. Oz, the topic was Toxic Toss Out -- things in many of our homes that we use everyday, but don’t realize that they are toxic to our health.
As a health and wellness consultant for Ardyss International and Redeem Yourself Fitness, I feel obligated to share with you this very important information.
Did you know that bleaches and other cleaning products that contain sodium hypochlorite, (chlorine) and ammonia are toxic to your skin and respiratory system? When mixed with other cleaning products, they can create an explosive reaction. Mixing cleaning products can actually produce a teargas like substance.
Typical cleaning products that we use to scrub our floors, wash our clothes, clean and disinfect our bathroom and kitchen sinks, can also, when inhaled, ignite asthma, and various types of allergies. These products can create a chemical reaction that releases toxic gas that may irritate and damage our eyes, and lungs. Chlorine products can also severely burn our skin.
Dr. Oz suggested using white vinegar as a cleaning product, but if you are like me, you may prefer to use something with a more pleasant fragrance, that is also eco-friendly. If, however, you insist on using your grocery store, toxic cleaning products, please use rubber gloves and a mask.
Recently, the harmful nature of synthetic household products has become commonplace. Regular household products on the market today have the potential to weaken your body because the chemicals and toxins from the products are absorbed through the skin and can break down your body's natural defenses.
However for a wonderful alternative, why not Go Green! Eco-Friendly cleaning products are available that contain no harmful chemicals that can damage your health.
Ardyss International has created an all-purpose, eco-friendly line of all-purpose cleaners, laundry detergents, dishwashing soaps, fabric softeners, dryer sheets and glass cleaners, which are non-toxic, biodegradable, septic system safe, and non-petroleum based, that contains no dyes, have not been tested on animals, and contain no animal ingredients.
