Life of Evident- Fitness Friday Report (202 hits)

Today is Friday and that means that it is time for the Fitness Friday Report. I must admit that I've been slacking in writing this report on time. I take full responsibility for my actions, or the lack thereof. I'm going to do better. I won't make any excuses because I'm trying to change from living a life of excuses and instead to live a life of evident. Let my life be a manifestation of the words that I write and speak. Let my life be evident of the glory of God.

So, here's the recap of this week's health report:

Spiritual
I had a wonderful week of worship, praise and conversations with God. He continues to enlighten me of new things each and every day. Yesterday, while running, he showed me that if I keep my eye on the target (goal) that I am striving for, I will reach it, if I just keep running. The vision gets a little blurry sometimes, but keep moving because the vision is for an appointed time and I will not be disappointed.

Soul
Just knowing that the evidence of the things that I have requested of God are beginning to manifest, does wonders for my spirit and soul. This past week, some things happened that were steps that brought me closer and closer to my heart's desire. My sister even recognized it and brought it to my attention. She said to me, "You said that's what you want to do and now you will. I can just see you now, just strutting." She knows me too well.....lol

Ahh! It is definitely on the way and the anticipation of it feels so good.

Physical
I am continuing my working out (mostly running and walking). As a matter of fact, I only did the running and walking this week. I unintentially walked and ran a 10K. This was definitely not an intentional act on my part. It was more of not paying attention to the posted signs before I began. Here's what happened. Because I really hate anything that remotely seems routine, I decided to workout at a different park which is about 15 minutes from my house. I did not realize that the path was actually used for folks who train for the 10k. I stretched before I got to the beginning of the path, so that when I actually got there, I could just take off. That is how I missed the signs posted that said "10K START". It wasn't until I was about at the halfway point, that I started to question when the path was going to end. In my mind, I'm thinking, this is a long path, good grief, is it ever going to end?' There is a lake that sits right in the center of this path and when I got to the point where I could see through the trees, I could see that I was a long way from where I started. It was then that I started to see all of these signs posted on the trail that pointed you in the direction of the 10K path. That's when it donned on me, that I had inadvertently chosen the wrong path to run that day. I was halfway through it, which meant that I had already done 5K, so if I turned around and went back or if I completed the path, it would have been another 5K which totaled 10K for the day. So, I just had to suck it up and keep moving until I saw the "10K FINISH". Whew!! I was dogged tired.

I would have never thought that I was mentally or physically prepared to do a 10K, but God knew otherwise. And I did it, not even realizing that I was doing it until I was halfway through it. That's another spiritual enlightening moment. That's another 'life of evident' that I am choosing to live.

So, think about that for a moment. Times when you think that you're not ready for something, God knows better and put you on out there. He knows us better than we know ourselves. And He will never put more on you than you can bear. Has God put you 'out there' to do something that you didnt think that you were prepared to do?
