From the people who brought you Sasha Vujacic Jeans and Lamar Odom Cologne comes Dwight Howard's(notes) "Shoot for the Stars," an honest-to-goodness CD featuring Dwight Howard's mellifluous crooning.
No, really, this is a real thing that will soon be available in stores. Stop laughing. Seriously. This is not a madeup joke, somehow.

[Dwight Howard is] a man of many talents, on and off the court. Now you can add recording artist his bag of tricks with the Oct. 26 launch of his debut CD, "Shoot For The Stars," from Razor & Tie/KIDZ BOP.
This is serious business, mostly, with the All-Star big man delivering arena anthems and classic hits, plus the original title track, which encourages his young fans to pursue their dreams.
He'll have a group of talented young kids" singing backup vocals on each song. On top of that, a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the BETA Center (www.betacenter.org), the Orlando based organization whose mission it is to provide children and parents with the knowledge and support needed for strong and healthy families. "This record is a dream come true for me in so many ways," he said in a released statement. "Recording this album for me ranks with being the first pick in the NBA draft, my first NBA All-Star game and winning a gold medal at the Olympics. Razor & Tie and KIDZ BOP have been incredible and I hope everyone enjoys the album as much as I did recording it."
Weird value system, Dwight Howard. Surely it is very fun to record songs called "Whoomp (Hoop) There It Is" and "U Can't Touch This (Howard Time)," but it seems like winning a gold medal would be a little bit more memorable. Then again, the original versions of those songs are amazing, so updating them would probably be pretty righteous.
Of course, while this is completely silly, it's still for a good cause which makes it more than OK. That being the case, you should totally pre-order Dwight's CD for $13.98. And seriously, stop laughing because this is one of the most important things in Dwight's life. Stop it, man. Not cool.
