First Weigh-in for this Weight-loss Journey (148 hits)
Today is one of great anticipation; my first weigh-in since I began this serious task of 'laying aside the weight that so easily besets me'. I decided to weigh in on a bi-weekly basis instead of weekly because, well, I would see more pounds loss and that in turn, would keep me motivated. That's just what works for me.
So here it is: Weight: - 8.2 lbs
That equals to about 4.1 lbs/week lost. Bye-bye baby, bye bye.
I'm still working this lifestyle change challenge that I accepted from my cousin. The challenge will last for two weeks, which means that I still have to workout daily until Monday, September 6th. I also have to be careful about what and how much I'm eating. I dont mind and it has been very helpful. In addition that, I began added another twist to my workout plan, the Couch-to-5K running plan, which I am doing in the park. Yesterday, I actually increased my endurance for running. I was beyond excited about this because I am not a runner. But for some reason, I felt the urge to just keep on running until I just couldnt go any more. Had to pat myself on the back for that one. Yayyyyyyy!
So, now, that's 4-different exercise options that I have; Park-walk, Park-c25k, Gym and Zumba. This should definitely keep me from getting bored with working out. Y'all know that I'm not an advocate of anything 'routine' because I get bored really quick. I HAVE NO EXCUSE.
So here's my workout progress for the past week.
Saturday: Park (Walked 2.5 miles)
Sunday: Zumba (20 min Express)
Monday: Gym (Treadmill, bike, upper body strength)
Tuesday: Park (C25k + walked 1 mile) + core strength
Wednesday: Gym (Elliptical, treadmill, lower body strength)
Thursday: Park (C25k + walked 1mile) + upper body strength
Friday (today): Zumba (50 min) + core strength
Plan for Saturday: Park (C25k)
Plan for Sunday: Zumba (20 min express)
Stay tuned for next week's Fitness Friday Report. Have and safe and wondeful holiday weekend.
