Today's Bride and the economy (360 hits)

Saturday, September 18, 2010, will be my first Wedding Workshop in Temple, Texas. I am interested in seeing what today’s brides are thinking in this economy. I know we are all concerned about our budgets and money, but how does this make you feel now that your getting married or planning a wedding?

Jennifer my anniversary is today ~~ 9years ~~ can't believe it! I would think that today's bride would be concerned about the wedding dress, the cake, and the reception at least that is what I would be stressing over. I got married at the courthouse in January and followed that with a church ceremony 7 months later; We worked our behinds off doing all kinds of overtime at our jobs to pay for the cake and the reception hall and dinner. The church was my home church so there was no cost, but we gave the pastor a love offering for officiating

If I were today's bride, I'd be more worried about the cost of renting a place for the reception, the cost per plate, and the cost of the cake. Everything else is a breeze especially since you don't have to have a photographer or a videographer. The technology available today is so cool that you can do most things at the touch of a button~~even the wedding invitations!
