For I know we have never met nor did you even know I existed even though we might have lived in the same home for I was to consumed with what was going on with me. What was working for me and what was not. Forcing you to face your fears alone and abandon your dreams. I caused you to live in darkness your entire life never knowing what life looks like or even light.
What kind of mother am I? The kind who wants you to be nothing like me. For I was selfish and quite honestly I just wanted love and the one I should have loved who loved me through all of it was right there in the next room.
So, don't let your hatred of me cause you to be just like me. Do not allow self hate to destroy you. I am sure your wondering why I said that. I want you to know behind every closed door there is a story and you are not alone.
