May everyone have a great day of being with family and friends. Though I may not celebrate this holiday season like the rest of you all may, let's have a Coke and a Pizza and not forget the light side of life. Let's continue to raise our children and grandchildren well, stress education as the key to success, and follow the laws of the land. Those are the most important!
DON'T chase money this holiday season. DON'T chase "getting high" this holiday season. A good bar of soap and a bowl of soup is all we need, when our rent and bills are paid and we have knowledge, wisdom, and the love of friends in all walks of life. DON'T chase negative people and/or energy.
May each and everyone of you be safe this holiday season, and even though some of us may not have been granted the best of everything this 2009, let's remember to count our blessings this holiday season and thank Allah just for being alive!
And yeah, I'll try to remain positive in 2010 amidst the negativity stemming from others. Peace To All!
Amen Sister!Just change my order to a Snapple with the Pizza! LOL!!
I've had to scale back on Christmas this year also.I just don't have the money for decorations or gifts. I'm single with no children and my parents passed away many years ago so I don't buy Christmas presents. However I do send a few Christmas cards, (paper and eCards), make a few phone calls, and give the gifts of hugs, kisses, time, attention, prayer, faith and loyalty. I'm also Blessed to have my cat Sylvester, a warm home, food and a job to go to tomorrow so I am very much Fortunate.
Personally I do very much enjoy all the Christmas songs and carols. I have WQXR on now and they are playing nonstop Christmas music. Pretty cool. Christmas is what you make of it. Jesus probably never intended for all this hoopla but here it is worldwide and just because I've downsized the Holidays does not make it right for me to rain on everyone's parade. Happy Holidays!
