Words are inadequate to express such beautiful and heartfelt private messages on the anniversary of the day of me joining this site. I have made such growth and development during the time we have known each other, All praises are due to Allah, but know that much has been a result of your divine influence. You all were born for a very specific purpose and have a special gift that you may be unaware of at this time. Nevertheless, you utilize it and bring the best out of all within the sphere of your influence. You have never had a problem correcting me, admonishing me, reprimanding me...hey wait a minute I shouldn't be grateful for that (LOL)!
Seriously though, you all are a family in the truest sense of the word. A true family won't let you stumble in their presence. They don't delight in seeing you fail. They rejoice at your triumphs and lament at your defeats. They have your back literally. I know you all are a family like that and you all are one of the very, very few friends I trust with my life. If all could have a friend like you, hell would turn to heaven overnight!
I joined this site one year ago today and I too have watched you all develop and grow to be that powerful, great, beautiful and wise person you are today. I know if you are as you are now, the world better look out in a few days because you are about to make your appearance. Contrary to popular belief, all stars are not alike. All people are not alike. Some are made to excel others. You, my family, are a star without equal. Don't get too whisked away in the glorious future you will attain - relax and accept the Joy of the Journey of getting there. Your spot in the heavens is a done deal, it's written in YOUR book of life. The only way you won't have it is if you decide you don't want it.
I love you for being you. You are refreshing warm, bright and cheerful spirit in a cold, dark and sordid world. There is an old saying, "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." You have been a great teacher. You have been a dear friend, confidant, brother, sister and guide during thick and thin. There is absolutely nothing I won't talk about on this site. I shared my views about culture, education, politics, religion, s*x (who could forget my "From Down Low Brother To Low Down Brother" blog) and the list goes on. I even shared the good, the bad, and the ugly of living in the city of New Orleans. And I have also shared the joy of raising my niece with you all. The world is indeed a better place for your having been born and you are just getting started!
