Swarms of Locusts Appear Headed for Ethiopia - the Birthplace of the Human Race (156 hits)
(Taylor Media Services) Ethiopia - the East African land where it was long thought that the human race first evolved - cannot seem to get break. Just as it was beginning to prosper after years of famine and war, a United Nations agency reported last week that swarms of locusts from northern Somalia were coming into the country. Locusts, which travel in the billions, tend to devour all crops in their path. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said the locust have been confirmed in seven region regions of the country.
