Jennifer Lopez Drops "Sweetface" - Her Fashion Line (137 hits)
(Taylor Media Services) Another celebrity fashion line bit the dust last week. Jennifer Lopez announced that she was placing "Sweetface" on hiatus and possibly discontinuing the line completely after the spring 2009 collection. The announcement came even though New York magazine was reporting the high-end fashion line pulled in $200 million in 2006.
Lopez joins several other celebrities who ventured into the fashion business in recent years only to eventually shut down - in part because of the current recession. Lauren Conrad and Mandy Moore have also recently closed down their fashion lines.
