"Growing evidence shows, despite gains in employment and education, today's black woman is more vulnerable to stress-based illness than her white counterpart. Like white women, black women confront common and chronic stressors such as s*xism, juggling work and family demands and managing limited finances. But racism in larger society and classism and s*xism in their own environments make the black woman's stress burden a heavier one. What do you do to reduce stress, rather it's caused by s*xism, racism, or classism? Please share.
I personally exercise, write/journal, talk about the issues to outside parties, or internal parties who can help and are trustworthy, and when I do come across racism or prejudiced, I address it, and don't give my business to companies that employ such persons and let my friends know regardless of race, what happened to me at a particular establishment, because in the business world, word of mouth spreads faster than wild fire and can do more damage to a business than the racist or s*xist notions of those they employ...

I exercise, journal, and talk to friends about the ignorance that is still going on in 2009 regarding racism, classism, and s*xism. Talking to others helps to remind me that I am not alone in the struggle to overcome these hurdles.
