My previous Glass Ceiling post... UPDATE!!! (1666 hits)

UPDATE...UPDATE...UPDATE...UPDATE

Praise the Lord! Thank you all for your encouraging words and prayers regarding my son mentioned in my previous post. As you know, he did not return to college this Fall quarter because we just did not have the $45,000- this time around :) -for non-resident fees. We were very disheartened, but knew the Lord would make a way where there is no way... WELL HE DID!!!

My son petitioned the University of California, Los Angeles for reclassification as a resident for tuition purposes because, truly, he had been a resident of California all of his life except for attending school in Texas for grades 10-12 which he (smartly) insisted was involuntary on his part. Basically, he argued that it was no different than if a state resident left for Boarding school, but returned "home" for every holiday and summer break. Even though that wasn't exactly the case, and he didn't leave for boarding school, but they bought his argument. Glory to God! This young, black man can now pursue his engineering degree and (prayerfully) help another in their struggle.
