MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT: As an Operations and Training Manager for the Fort Wainwright, Alaska (FWA) Mission Training Complex (MTC), you must be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Brigade and above level operational planning and exercise scenario development. You must possess expert knowledge and experience in Army operations and training. This includes a detailed understanding of current military doctrine, current tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) and force structure to incorporate training units into an exercise.Responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the FWA MTC operations and training.The Ops Manager will work closely with the MTC Government Operations POC and/or Director to ensure the MTC Government is kept informed of training and event support requirements, any potential changes to those requirements, and any conflicts with overlapping or simultaneous requirementsPerform scheduling and coordination of MTC resources and the training request processThe Ops Manager shall participate in and when required lead various operations and exercise updates and staff meetingsPlans or participates, as directed, in Concept Development Conferences, Initial Planning Conferences, Mid Planning Conferences, Final Planning Conferences for Training Command assigned exercisesPrepare briefings and other required materials.
