Cable Technician

Looking for a Cable Technician with 5+ years experience installing, terminating, patching & splicing Fiber optic cables and Copper (CAT5/6) Ethernet cables. Must be able to work in an active working environment with little or no disruption to customers. Cable Technician will be working in a Classified secured environment with the need to be able to obtain up to Top Secret/SCI clearance. HOW A CABLE TECHNICIAN WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:Troubleshooting issues with Link Runner AT2000 cable testers.Installing cabling infrastructure under floors or in ceilings.Ensure cables are properly labeled and identified.Complete work orders using Remedy online system.Patch network cables in Telecommunications Rooms on multiple levels of classifications and networks. WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED: Requirements and skills:Proven work experience as a Cable Technician or similar role.5+ years experience installing, terminating, patching & splicing Fiber optic cables and Copper (CAT5/6) Ethernet cables.Must know how to terminate fiber optic cables of various types (Single-mode vs. Multi-mode OM3) and know fiber optic color code.
