Elementary Music Teacher
Radnor Elementary School is seeking a dynamic and passionate Elementary Music Teacher to develop, lead, and sustain a comprehensive music program for students in grades K–5. The ideal candidate will foster a love of music, support student creativity, and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture through engaging instruction and meaningful performance opportunities.
Preferred Skills:
• Ability to accompany ensembles on piano preferred
• Experience integrating technology into instruction (e.g., SmartMusic or similar platforms)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Elementary teaching experience preferred
• Carl Orff certification preferred
Qualifications & Requirements Qualifications:
• PA Certificate – Music K-12
• Develop, lead, and sustain a successful elementary music program
• Provide dynamic music instruction for K–5 students
• Plan and lead choral rehearsals and performances (4th & 5th grades)
• Work with special area teachers to support and foster school-wide climate and culture
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and rehearsal techniques
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Communicate clearly and consistently with parents and colleagues
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate K-5 music programming
• Collaborate with the district elementary band and orchestra teachers as needed
