The Director of Quality is a results-oriented individual who manages our corporate drive toward world-class design and manufacturing production. This individual is the principal expert within the organization with regards to quality principles and processes. This role drives quality improvement in key areas throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
Direct and maintain a team to manage quality assurance and quality control throughout organization.
Influence others without direct authority.
Provide quality leadership and guidance throughout the organization and provide technical quality guidance to solve difficult problems and to make step level improvements.
Develop key process indicators with organization leadership and assist in developing strategic plans to improve the key processes.
Develop quality assurance plans to conduct risk analyses; identify critical control points and preventive measures.
Ensure compliance to industry standards including but not limited to ISO 9001, IEEE, and National Electric Code.
Communicate throughout the organization and collaborate with all levels of personnel to achieve target performance and share best practices within the organization.
Influence others without direct authority.
Stand firm on quality decisions in high pressure situations.
Implement key metrics and controls to track progress.
Provide regular updates of key metrics and process improvements.
Identify and eliminate process waste by continually driving a cultural shift in the organization with sustainable results.
Identify bottlenecks and problems and ensure they are effectively resolved through teamwork and individual engagement.
Participate in capital strategy & planning, product cost reduction and business process management to achieve world-class operational performance.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree with 12 years of progressive management experience, or Master of Science Degree with 8 years of progressive management experience
Experience with quality management in a manufacturing environment
Experience with ISO procedures and processes
6-Sigma certification or verifiable project experience
Effective written and verbal communication

Travel Requirements:
As required – business needs will dictate
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel throughout facility as required to perform essential duties.
