TEACHER OF GIFTED LEARNERS (1.0)
The district is seeking a knowledgeable and student-focused Gifted Support Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support for gifted and advanced learners in grades K5. This position is responsible for identifying gifted students, developing individualized programming, and collaborating with teachers to ensure appropriate differentiation and enrichment within the regular classroom. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to gifted education and the ability to create engaging, challenging learning experiences that meet the unique needs of gifted students.
Qualifications & Requirements Qualifications:
PA Instructional certificate in Elementary Education, required
Masters degree in education or gifted education, preferred
Experience working with gifted and advanced students
Knowledge of the characteristics of gifted learners
Knowledge of Chapter16 regulations
Knowledge of curriculum and instructional practices for gifted students
Strong commitment to gifted education and meeting the needs of gifted students
Ability to collaborate with teachers to create a challenging and exciting atmosphere in the regular classroom
Ability to differentiate curriculum and instructional materials to meet the needs of gifted and advanced learners
Ability to use technology for analyzing data, productivity, and communication
