Are you an experienced, passionate pioneer in technology who wants to work in a collaborative environment? As an experienced Deployment Engineer, you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel. If so, consider an opportunity with Deloitte under our Project Delivery Talent Model. Project Delivery Model (PDM) is a talent model that is tailored specifically for long-term, onsite client service delivery.
Work you'll do:
As a Deployment Engineer, you'll manage network and wireless deployments across remote locations-partnering with on-site employees to deploy, move, add, and change (MAC) network devices and equipment. You'll validate working configurations, support day-to-day network stability, and help implement standardized upgrades and changes across a multi-site enterprise environment while building strong hands-on experience in routing, switching, and wireless.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and execute remote site network/wireless deployments, including device installs, moves, adds, and changes (MAC)
Configure and support routers, switches, and wireless access points under established standards and supervision
Validate configurations and connectivity post-deployment (e.g., VLANs, IP addressing, SSIDs, authentication, routing basics)
Provide first-line support for network-related tickets (wired/wireless connectivity, basic L2/L3 issues) and escalate when needed
Troubleshoot incidents impacting performance; document findings, actions taken, and outcomes
Assist with firmware upgrades, patching, and network changes following change management procedures
Perform routine network health checks and respond to monitoring alerts
Maintain accurate documentation: device inventory, port mappings, configuration changes, and updated diagrams/site records
Collaborate with network, security, and helpdesk teams on deployments and issue resolution
Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes
