People Operations Manager-Leave and Accommodations Operations
The People Operations Manager – Leave and Accommodations Operations supports the delivery of a consistent, compliant, and scalable outsourced leave and accommodations program. This role oversees a small internal team, partners closely with internal stakeholders such as but not limited to HRBPs and Business Operations, and serves as the primary point of contact with the program’s external third-party vendor. The position is critical to ensuring operational processes run smoothly and efficiently. Success in this role is defined by strong execution, reliable follow-through, using and managing data to drive decision making, monitoring program efficiency, and the ability to build processes that scale while maintaining team compliance and service quality.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage a small People Operations team by setting clear priorities, ensuring consistent service delivery, and using KPIs to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
• Monitor system performance, escalating issues and collaborating with internal teams and the vendor to ensure timely resolution
• Ensure third‑party vendor meets SOW and SLA requirements for accuracy, timeliness and employee experience
• Partner with various internal stakeholders and the third-party vendor to ensure alignment, transparency, and smooth operational delivery
• Support the implementation of regulatory changes impacting the leave and accommodations program, including policy updates, documentation, and system adjustments
• Coordinate system or process changes with internal stakeholders and the vendor to ensure compliant and accurate execution—from idea generation and concept development through stakeholder alignment, planning, design, and delivery
• Translate short- and long-term operational needs into scalable, strategic, and compliant solutions, partnering with internal teams and the vendor to achieve desired outcomes
• Manage stakeholder communication with clarity and professionalism, ensuring expectations are set and issues are addressed proactively
• Influence cross‑functional partners to drive aligned decisions and operational accountability
• Streamline internal workflows to improve the employee experience, support standardization and scalability, and optimize program delivery
Minimum Requirements
• 5+ years helping lead or managing HR operations teams or similar functions.
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
• Experience in HR Operations, or related functional areas
• Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work with systems, data, and process optimization in a fast paced environment
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Ensure the third‑party vendor meets all SOW and SLA requirements related to accuracy, timeliness, and employee experience.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and the third‑party vendor to ensure alignment, transparency, and smooth operational delivery.
- Support the implementation of regulatory changes impacting the leave and accommodations program, including updates to policies, documentation, and system configurations.
- Coordinate system and process changes with internal stakeholders and the vendor to ensure compliant and accurate execution—from idea generation and concept development through stakeholder alignment, planning, design, and delivery.
- Translate short‑ and long‑term operational needs into scalable, strategic, and compliant solutions in partnership with internal teams and the vendor to achieve desired outcomes.
- Manage stakeholder communications with clarity and professionalism, ensuring expectations are set appropriately and issues are addressed proactively.
- Streamline internal workflows to improve the employee experience, support standardization and scalability, and optimize program delivery.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Experience managing or coordinating with third-party vendors
• Familiarity with leave and accommodations regulations and other relevant laws pertaining to the human resources function
• Experience supporting policy or system change initiatives
• Background in accommodation and leave administration or similar operational environments
• Strong knowledge of general human resources practices and procedures

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
