Maximus’ Learning and Organizational Development (L&OD) function is seeking a Specialist - AI & Technical Upskilling who will play a key role in strengthening enterprise capability by supporting the design and delivery of AI and technical upskilling experiences that build the skills our workforce needs now and in the future. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and develop Corporate Learning & Development curriculum and materials based on proven adult learning techniques including ADDIE, Rapid Course Development, and Adult Learning Theory.
- Create and develop Corporate Learning & Development scenarios.
- Update comprehensive environment data resources to ensure that Corporate Learning & Development systems mimic the production environment tools used by employees.
- Collaborate extensively with business partners and SMEs to perform analysis, develop learning objectives and design deliverables that meet learner, stakeholder needs and organizational quality standards.
- Develop qualitative and quantitative assessment tools to measure learner requirements, competencies, and organizational quality standards
.- Teach instructional programs in accordance with course requirements and organize materials.
- Develop assessments to measure and assess effectiveness of the curriculum and learner performance in the workplace and integrate results into new and existing course curriculum.
- Review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed curriculum and recommend changes to policies and procedures.
- Develop and create Corp Learning & Development resources and maintain/update systems Corp Learning & Development environment.
- Responsible for adhering to established safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Partner with SMEs to translate technical and AI concepts into clear, learner‑centered content, pathways, and hands‑on activities.
- Utilize generative AI platforms and emerging learning technologies to support rapid prototyping and iterative improvement of AI and technical learning experiences.
- Support change‑enablement efforts by developing communication resources and learner guidance that promote adoption of AI learning programs and responsible AI usage.
- Monitor emerging AI and workforce technology trends and translate insights into updates to learning pathways, content strategies, and learner support tools.
- Ensure AI-related content reflects responsible-use guidelines and aligns with organizational policies and technology enablement efforts
- Help maintain and update AI and technical learning materials as technology, models, and organizational capabilities evolve
- Review, evaluate, and update existing curriculum to ensure alignment with organizational needs, tools, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with internal SMEs, facilitators, and external vendors to support timely and high-quality program deliver
- Contribute to the creation of curricula and learning pathways spanning AI literacy to intermediate technical skills.
- Ensure learning content aligns with organizational tools, capabilities, and technology enablement efforts.
- Manage delivery across virtual, in person, and blended formats to ensure high quality, timely learner experiences.
- Serve as a central point of coordination for learners, contributors, and stakeholders throughout program delivery.
- Track participation and performance metrics, analyze LMS and survey data, and prepare insights to inform continuous improvement.
- Leverage LMS data, assessments, and AI‑enabled analytics to identify trends, skill gaps, and opportunities for program enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance content, delivery approaches, and overall learner experience.
- Support skills gap analyses and needs assessments in partnership with HR and business stakeholders.
- Translate skills requirements into clear learning objectives and program components.
- Contribute to prioritizing learning initiatives based on business needs, skills data, and organizational objectives.
- Maintain learning environments and systems to ensure alignment with production tools and workflows.
- Support the development of communities of practice and knowledge-sharing among AI and technical learners.
- Experiment with adaptive learning methods, AI‑supported simulations, and sandbox environments to enhance learner engagement and accelerate skills development.
- Bachelor's degree in related field required. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of experience in the area of Corporate Learning & Development required.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience supporting technical, digital, or AI-related learning programs.
- Interest in AI, data, or emerging technologies, with a willingness to continuously learn.
- Working knowledge of instructional design fundamentals and adult learning principles.
- Basic experience with learning analytics, surveys, or program evaluation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Foundational understanding of LLMs (Large Language Models), Agentic AI concepts, prompt engineering, and common AI tool capabilities- Familiarity with skills-based talent frameworks or capability models.
- Exposure to change management or organizational development initiatives.
