At GDIT, people are our differentiator. We are seeking a technically savvy Project Manager to fill a Portfolio Lead position guiding multiple application development teams. Successful candidate will need to be able to manage technical requirements to meet delivery dates for financial mission enabling applications. A firm understanding of Agile practices and the ability to manage high functioning software developer teams is required.
Mandatory Skills:
Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership for the program.
Supervises assigned staff, including subordinate supervisors.
Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting.
Serves as the team's primary Point of Contact for assigned technical actions and data calls.
Develops and presents technical briefings for Engineering Review Boards, documenting proposed solutions and/or system design changes.
Collaborates with the development team to define options and provide recommendations to the client for technical solutions.
Collaborates with the customer on project plans, resource allocation, and approaches for technical requirements.
Assists with high level technical services on assigned tasks, which may include system health monitoring, support for system scans, terminating/starting servers, updates to technical documentation, and support for security accreditation tasks.
Attends customer meetings and may serve as primary client liaison.
Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client.
Coordinates development of deliverables and products.
Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Agile practices and software development best practices
Experience with AWS services
Fundamental software development skills used by the team (Java, JavaScript, ServiceNow, relational databases)
WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Experience: 15+ years
Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
Location: Chantilly, VA customer site
