Job Summary
KBR is seeking a highly skilled Air and Missile Defense Analyst to perform a variety of engineering and analytical tasks in support of Air and Missile Defense systems. This role combines simulation, real-world data analysis, and system performance assessment to inform strategic decisions for both U.S. and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Warfighters. The selected candidate will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to the optimization of missile defense performance through rigorous test planning, execution, and data analysis. This full-time, fully funded (Pending IFMC approval) position is based at KBR's classified corporate lab in Huntsville, AL, just outside Redstone Arsenal Gate 9.
Roles and Responsibilities
Perform engineering and analytical work in support of Air and Missile Defense systems, with a focus on simulation and real-world data analysis.
Define objectives, criteria, and procedures for test plans related to future software builds.
Execute system-level tests and analyze resulting data to assess performance of tactical deployments.
Deliver formal test findings and performance assessments to appropriate stakeholders.
Use tools such as Microsoft Excel, Python, or MATLAB to analyze missile defense system behavior in digital and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) environments.
Formulate and recommend solutions to technical, operational, or integration challenges.
Contribute to system optimization through special studies or investigations.
Lead or coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, providing technical guidance or mentorship as needed.
Travel occasionally (5%10%) to support customer meetings, test events, or field integration.
Basic Qualifications
Possess undergraduate degree in STEM related field
At least 3 years of experience in related Air & Missile Defense field
Candidate must be a US Citizen
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Air and Missile Defense Weapon Systems, Flight Tests/Ground System Tests, Data Analysis
Understanding of MATLAB, C/C++, Python, SQL, Visual Basic (VB), C#, or any other high-level programming language
Ability to brief audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge
