Job Description
The Associate Director, Marketing Operations Review Management position leads a team of people leaders and individual contributors that manage the US Material Review Process (MRP) to ensure effective, efficient and compliant delivery of promotional and non-promotional communications, tools and programs to all stakeholders.
The Marketing Operations team sets process standards, guidelines, and policies for the review process for U.S. Commercial Marketing and Sales Excellence team members, medical reviewers, regulatory reviewers and other key stakeholders to ensure the appropriate and timely review of all promotional and non-promotional materials. The Associate Director leads their teams in the planning and execution of the MRP for their therapeutic area, utilizing and documenting best practices, lessons learned, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement. The individual in this position must be solution-oriented and able to understand the nuance of the situation while seeing the bigger picture and aligning with the brands goals and priorities. This person is technology and solution-focused, data-driven, and understands the inner workings of the brands goals and how to most effectively leverage Marketing Operations various capabilities and their infrastructure to achieve them.
Accountability & Scope:
Reports to Director, Marketing Operations Review Management within the US Therapeutics Operations organization.
Partners with US therapeutic area leadership across Marketing, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, OEC, HR, and Business Technology.
Oversees team of approximately 10-15 full-time employees and contractors
Accountable for Therapeutic Area review team structure and resource management
Takes on large scale projects with unclear objectives and drives to completion
Represents Marketing Operations in cross-functional TA-related activities.

Qualifications
B.A./B.S. Marketing, Communications, Advertising or Business or equivalent business experience within AbbVie or a related industry
8+ years of experience in marketing, project or program management
3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry
Proven management experience across multiple functions including management of exempt personnel in fast-paced, service/team environment.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to distill highly complex requirements into compelling business objectives, and influence across functions and levels.
Strong problem-solving abilities in complex, compliance regulated department
