As a HR Benefits & Leave Specialist you will be responsible for administering the employee benet plans and 401(k) retirement program and ensures understanding and service level details regarding all benet maters. Additionally responsible for leave management for the agency. Work closely with department leadership, employees, and vendors to ensure accurate and compliant administration of benets, FMLA and other leave programs, while maintaining current and precise data within the HRIS, including benets, payroll deductions, and related records.

What Youll Do
Meet with insurance brokers and CHRO to coordinate the best benet plans for the agency. Coordinate and conduct open enrollment each year.
Clearly communicate all SAFY benets to all sta. Aid in educating sta on all available options.
Manage Unemployment and Workers Compensation required records needed for administrative reviews/hearings. May be required to attend administrative reviews/hearings as necessary.
Manage leave of absences for all sta agency wide. Assure appropriate communication with all necessary parties and ensure required paperwork is received.
Develop and update FMLA policies, procedures, and related documents to ensure alignment with current laws and best practices
Administer all aspects of ADA accommodations
Assist with engagement surveys and action planning to drive organizational-wide engagement.
Assist in the annual review and update of our Employee Handbook.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in human resources or related field.
Minimum of fives years of HR experience which included specific experience with benefit design and administrative and leave management.
Additional Requirements:
Experience working with ADP Workforce Now preferred
SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
Acceptable driving record and auto insurance to meet the travel requirements
Ability to work exible hours daily/weekly to fulll position responsibilities
What We Offer
Targeted hiring range: $57,000.00 - $70,000.00
Compensation is commensurate with transferable experience, education and licensure of candidate, location of the position, along with internal equity and budgeted amount for the role.
