Are you an experienced, passionate pioneer in technology who wants to work in a collaborative environment? As an experienced DevOps Engineer you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel. If so, consider an opportunity with Deloitte under our Project Delivery Talent Model. Project Delivery Model (PDM) is a talent model that is tailored specifically for long-term, onsite client service delivery.

Work you'll do/Responsibilities
  • Lead DevOps and site reliability engineering (SRE) for a cloud-ready POS platform, ensuring high availability during peak retail periods and store rollouts
  • Own CI/CD pipeline strategy and execution (build, test, security scans, deploy), enabling frequent, low-risk releases across environments
  • Drive release engineering and rollout readiness for phased store deployments, including cutover planning, rollback strategy, and change coordination
  • Design and operate cloud infrastructure in AWS/Azure/GCP, including networking, identity/access, and environment standardization
  • Implement and manage container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes), including cluster operations, scaling, upgrade paths, and workload reliability
  • Build infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform and/or CloudFormation to ensure repeatable, auditable environments
  • Enable observability: logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting, and service-level objectives (SLOs) aligned to checkout performance and uptime
  • Lead incident management and rapid troubleshooting (triage, mitigation, root cause analysis), and drive post-incident improvements to prevent recurrence
  • Automate operational workflows (environment provisioning, smoke checks, health checks, backups, runbooks) to reduce manual toil
  • Partner with engineering, security, and operations on DevSecOps practices (secrets management, vulnerability management, policy-as-code) and secure-by-default deployments
  • Mentor engineers and lead cross-team stakeholder communication on release status, risks, and operational health
  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
  • Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes
