Job Summary:

KBR is seeking an Associate Security Specialist to join our team. This position supports a Sensitive Compartment Information Facility in Orlando, FL. The successful candidate will team with other professionals to provide support services through the Security Office. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Must have experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) 5205.07 Volumes 1-4 and ICD 705 directives. Manage an Automated Document Control Database (ADCS) and ensuring accountability and tracking is always maintained. Maintain program facility accreditation files to include physical accreditations and personnel files. Responsible for maintaining visitor control in the facility to include providing visitor badges; escorting uncleared visitors; and verifying visitor clearance information using customer approved databases. Must be able to conduct security briefings to include indoctrinations, debriefings, and administer Security Education Training Awareness (SETA) that supports SAPs. Experience creating PARs in the JADE system. Must have experience with investigating losses and security violations and recommend corrective actions.

Specific tasking:

  • Responsible for conducting inventories of controlled and accountable material. The candidate will maintain document control/database records to include creation, receipt, dispatch, tracking, destruction of documents and media, to include through electronic and physical transmissions in accordance with policy and facility guidelines.
  • Manage media for correct markings and application of cover sheets as necessary.
  • Executes corporate clearance processing for security personnel; processing DISS queries and requests for visitors including verifying authorization for access.
  • Assess, develop, and implement security policies and procedures that help ensure classified information is protected in all stages at all times.
  • Comply with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process as well as the Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG).
  • Maintain all purchase card documentation to meet contract requirements.
  • Responsible for directly supporting the GSSO team in achieving successful outcomes as directed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or 8 years relevant experience can be substituted for a degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to track action items, develop metrics, develop, and track risk mitigation plans, and develop and track plans of actions and milestones is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Active DOD Secret security clearance is required.
  • Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A current Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Active Top Secret security clearance with SSBI completed within the last five years.
