Buyer II
Overview
The Buyer II is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing raw materials and components required for manufacturing operations. This role ensures timely delivery of quality materials at competitive prices while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting production schedules.
Responsibilities
Purchase raw materials, components, and indirect supplies to meet production requirements.
Identify and qualify new suppliers to ensure cost-effective and reliable sources
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production planning to avoid shortages or excess stock.
Maintain accurate purchase order records and ensure compliance with company policies.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.
Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or invoicing
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement processes. SAP and Ariba preferred but not required
Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
CPIM, CPSM, CPM or PMP Preferred
