The Manager, Metrology is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical), evaluating and recommending equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield. Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance), troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems, prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures
This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Facilities and is part of the Operations Team located in Fargo, ND and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy and precision requirements
Develop andmaintainStandard Operating Procedures(SOPs), equipmentrecordsand qualification records
Work with support departments to obtain user requirements for equipment/utility,assistin the vendor review, instrument demonstrations/evaluationsand final vendor selection process
Lead team of metrology technicians, inclusive of hiring, development of associates, and performance management as needed.
Responsible for hands-on calibration, supervisory functions, maintenance, troubleshooting, conducting investigations and repair on a variety of equipment/utilities in such a manner to have minimal interruptions within the manufacturing schedule
Manage the identification, purchase, scheduling and administration ofappropriate servicecontracts and calibration vendors
Investigate Out of Tolerance results
The essential requirements of the job include:
Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
5+ years experience in metrology,
Prior experience leading teams preferred
Experience in a GMP or regulated industry, preferred
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience with CAPAs, Change Controls, and writing SOPS

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
