The Junior Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting department by performing a variety of routine accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The Junior Accountant will also assist in preparing financial reports, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger entries.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulations.
Perform other accounting duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
