A growing manufacturing company in the Baltimore County area is seeking an experienced Senior Project Accountant
Responsibilities:
Manage job costing for complex construction projects (categorization, recording, analysis, monitoring).
Oversee billings for complex accounts, ensuring compliance with contracts.
Monitor project budgets, process vendor invoices, and maintain financial health awareness.
Partner with project managers to provide financial insights.
Generate monthly reports with risk assessments and improvement opportunities.
Prepare special financial analyses upon request.
Mentor and train junior team members.
Qualifications:
Strong accounting knowledge (Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance preferred or equivalent experience).
5-7 years of project accounting experience (construction industry a plus).
Excellent organization and meticulous attention to detail.
Superior written/verbal communication and ability to train junior staff.
Thrives under pressure, meets tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Maintains confidentiality and professional discretion.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
Adaptable and works independently with minimal supervision.
