Manager of Physical Security Systems
Overview The Manager, Physical Security Systems, is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of the electronic physical security program for the Carle Health system. This position can be housed in Champaign-Urbana or Bloomington-Normal. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree or Experience in Lieu of Education CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Certified Physical Security Professional (PSP) (ASIS) within 2 years of eligibility and Driver's License upon hire. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 5-years of demonstrated experience in physical security best practices to include, but not limited to the design and optimization of physical security systems and crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) principles. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Advanced computer skills/familiarity with business software required. Must possess knowledge of the operations, services and activities of a comprehensive law enforcement/security program. Must demonstrate solid interpersonal skills, professional judgment, problem solving skills and competency in the delivery and maintenance of comprehensive electronic physical security program. Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive system-wide security systems strategy aligned with the security services objectives. Lead the design and implementation of security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and alarm systems. Develop and maintain security system design standards for the deployment and operation of security systems. Provide oversight and ownership of security systems preventive maintenance for the access control, video surveillance and intrusion detection systems for all Carle Health locations. Establish monitoring processes to detect and respond to security incidents promptly. Conduct assessments of security systems to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure the availability and reliability of security systems. Collaborate with internal groups, including operations, IT, and facilities, to ensure seamless integration of security systems with other business processes. Liase with external partners, such as law enforcement agencies, security consultants, and vendors, to enhance security capabilities and stay up to date with industry trends.. Other duties as assigned Educate team members on standard processes for applying security systems and adhering to security policies and procedures.
