Sisters Serving Our Community, Inc. is an organization of African-American women representing Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC, who are commited to giving back to the community, and making an impact on the lives of many.
We currently seek new members to join this exciting and positive organization of women. Our organization is an official organization in the State of Virginia, with the Incorporation of Sisters Serving Our Community, Inc. We are under review and close to becoming a non-profit organization.
Our primary focus is to be involved in issues that adversely affect us as women in the African-American community, promotion of Unity through Sisterhood . We will achieve this mission through our community service efforts, mentoring programs, education and health initiatives, as well as our Sisters Nights Out.
We have partnered with agencies such as Habitat for Humanity, Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, Salvation Army Angel Tree program, Soles4Souls, Congressional Black Caucus, American Diabetes Association, to name a few, and plan to continue these partnerships in the future.
Sisters Serving Our Community, Inc. is on the move and growing. We are in the process of establishing chapters nationally, and seek positive, committed sisters to Chair/Co-Chair a chapter in your community.
