Veterans’ Best Friend Prince Harry Set to Return to the U.S. to Support Service Members (3790 hits)

Prince Harry is poised to come back to the U.S.!
Planning is underway for a stateside trek run by one his favorite charities, Walking with the Wounded, next year. Although the details are still in the early stages, a source tells PEOPLE that the upcoming walk — similar to the one he joined in the U.K in 2015 alongside American and British service members and veterans — is set to happen.
“We have a map but no lines on it and no route,” says the source.
It would be unusual for Harry not to be involved, as he is an active supporter of the charity, but the royal has not yet been approached formally yet — and the source discounts claims that his girlfriend, Meghan Markle, has been invited.
Harry joined the Walking with the Wounded trek around the U.K. at a couple of points in 2015, telling PEOPLE at the time that “the support [for veterans] has been amazing.”
He has also headed to the South Pole with other intrepid adventurers in 2013 and trained with those who made the first expedition to the North Pole in 2011.
