Citywide Anti-Crime Town Hall/Block-Party Event "Taking to the Streets!"
WHEN: July 13, at 6 p.m. WHERE: Corner of Pleasant & West Jeff Davis Avenue.
Alabama State University's National Public Radio station - WVAS-FM, ASU's Department of Public Safety, 'That’s My Dog' Hotdogs, 97.9 Jamz and Buffalo Rock is hosting an anti-violence town hall meeting and block party, which we are taking to the streets.
Montgomery's top law enforcement and community leaders will be on hand to hear your questions and comments concerning how best to tackle the problem of crime in Montgomery. Attendees will also hear from the victims of crime and the people who are on the front lines working to make our streets safe.
There will be free food and drinks provided and the public is invited.
The anti-violence town hall – block party will be held on Wednesday July 13, at 6 p.m. on the corner of Pleasant Avenue and West Jeff Davis Avenue.
So come on out and report to the public this important and timely conversation as we search for solutions to stop the violence.
CONFIRMED SPEAKERS Among the confirmed speakers for this event include: Mayor Todd Strange, ASU police chief James Graboys, MPD police chief Ernest Finley and Sheriff Derrick Cunningham.
The event will be broadcast live on Alabama State's national Public Radio station WVAS-FM 90.7
