Winds broke speeds of 213 miles per hour!
Strong winds racing at 213 miles per hour swept Sydney, Australia with a violent storm of tornadoes on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. Roofs flew, buildings smashed and winds blue debris floating across streets and sending automobiles toppling over like toys. In addition, there were reports of golf sized hail falling causing damages to properties. Hundreds of homes and business communities suffered damages but clean up follows shortly after the violent storm passed over. There were some cases of mild injuries, but no fatalities were yet reported from the harsh tornado which struck around 10:30 am local Sydney time. Reports indicated that some 500 calls were made asking for assistance shortly during and after the storm ended as thousands lost power.
