THIS IS YOUR WORLD NEWS APRIL 2013 DAY 30 The Netherlands
QUEEN'S DAY:
"Long live the king!" Crowds celebrated the Queen's Day Holiday dressed in orange attires, and the cheer roars of cheers in the festive crowning of a new King!
Hundreds of thousands surrounded and sounded out celebration jeers as Queen Beatrix signed over the royal control to her son. Now, the new Dutch King Willem-Alexander is official. After servicing Queen for 33 years the Queen announced the new king over the balcony of the enormous crowd of well wishers. The Queen stated: "I am happy and grateful to introduce to you your new king William-Alexander." In reply her son gave her a gratitude thank you and excited the crowd even more. The new King Willem-Alexander is first king in over 120 years. The King is married to Queen Maxima, He is 46 years old making him the youngest monarch ever in the Netherlands.
Many people have never heard of the Netherland's Royals. They've been around for centuries! But we can also learn of other places/people in the world. The England's Royal usually leaves the next royal leader after passing. Charles may be very old before he's king. I agree, she should step down, but she hasn't yet. Charles will just have to wait it out.
