That's may have been the understatement for some of the Coupeville residents on Whidbey Island, in Washington State when a huge landslide left a enormous whole in the earth. One house was totaled and the threat of 34 others has residents packing and fleeing. Reports said that residents heard a loud sound and huge tremble. That's when they saw the most magnificent sight of the landslide and marveled. However, they were told to evacuate the area because it was a beautiful look of danger. Although landslides are unpredictable, often it is caused my heavy rains similar to those in mudslides. Scientists reports landslides are of nature's own characteristic and they can occur at anytime. This recent one in Coupeville is the largest ever report for that region in Washington. No fatalities were reported and news of the residents evacuations are held in high alert.
