POPE BENEDICT XVI WINDING DOWN FINAL HOURS OF SERVICE (392 hits)

February 2013
Day 28
Rome, Italy
Pope Benedict XVI delivered his final blessing speech to a huge crowd of 10,000 or more on February 27, 2013 and scheduled to make a final program on February 28th. Again, thousands of well-wishers will gather to see him leave his post. The Pope has openly admitted that due to his condition of health and age he’s resigning his position. There hasn’t been a pope to step down in over 600 years. The Pope did change a law that supports his resignation in a way to keep things in order. The Pope says he is looking forward to resting, prayers and the rest of his days in meditation. A new pope selection process will begin on Monday, March 4, 2013. Many of the followers wish him well, and sheds tears as he departs away from his years of service. Waving flags filled the Vatican during his goodbye speech.

“May he have days of fortified and fervent peace of God.”
