Nine-year-old gives birth to baby girl in Mexico (553 hits)
MEXICO CITY -- Mexican authorities say a 9-year-old girl has given birth in western Mexico and they are looking for the purported father, a 17-year-old boy. Jalisco state police spokesman Lino Gonzalez says the baby girl was born last week at a hospital in the city of Guadalajara. He says the girl and her baby are doing well. Gonzalez said Wednesday that the girl's family alerted authorities after she gave birth and the alleged father has not been seen since in the neighbourhood the both live in. He says that if the teenager's paternity is proven he could face child s*x abuse charges. Gonzalez says the girl told authorities the teenager was her boyfriend.
This raises some interesting questions. Biological age vs. legal age.

Hi Jen.. Wow! That's young. I have heard of young girls as old as 7 becoming mothers. We can see something here has been less attended to. Little girls and boys need watchful and or responsible parents. Kids are raising kids.

@Jen I saw this from one of my friends that emailed this to me last night. I'm glad you posted it. This is very common in Latin American countries including the United States. Particularly among the poorer communities, she had to have a C-Section.
This followed a Venezuela girl 10 years old bearing a child too.
Out of wedlock births are growing there and also in the United States too particularly in the poorer communities.
I tell you something , kids this age don't actually look their age and definitely if they have reached the womanhood mark to have periods and babies, they are women since a girl's first menarche is considered being a woman in many respects.
Unfortunately we can't see these girls pictures, because they are still minors according to most laws unlike back in the day. I'm sure if we could see their pictures, they look older since a woman's body changes when puberty hits.
The really sad thing I heard is that this girl in Mexico has been sterilized! Now that is sad.
Yeah, what's that about? They consider her a victim so they victimize her further? Doesn't make sense.

---POOR---thirdWorld people living on the American Border WITHOUT goodFamilies OR good Kindergartens, Elementary, Secondary or Colleges....
@Jen Sad indeed however I want to know if her ovaries or other internal organs were ruptured during the pregnancy or whether the parents consented to sterilization. Laws and protection of rights are much different than the United States!
Stop thinking like an American! We're talking about Mexico. ... or as Bro. Rob put it...

Ha!
Citizens of third world countries don't have rights and therefore the govt. can do whatever they want to keep the people(s) from being burden on the govt.
