TALIBAN CLAIM SHOOTINGS OF 14 YEAR OLD PEACE ACTIVIST (605 hits)

A young school girl was seriously wounded by gunmen on Tuesday October, 9, 2012. The 14 year was identified as Malala Yousufzai. Yousufazai is known by her writing blogs against corruption and the lack of education for girls in her country when she was 11 years old and the appearance in a documentary filmed by the BBC. Yousufazai was reportely leaving school when the attack on her life happened while boarding the school bus. She was seriously wounded along with two other students whom were caught in the crossfire; but one also suffered critical wounds. Yousufazai is said to be in stable but serious condition after a long surgery doctors removed the bullets from her head wound and neck. The Taliban is claiming responsiblilty for the incident claiming that the girl spoke things against the Taliban and was pro-west calling President Obama her idol. It was also reported that Yousufazai's had received life threats. Yousufazai has also received the country's highest civil award, and numerous awards for being a child activist.
