THIS WEEK NATION'S WEATHER SEPTEMBER 2012 12th Day
The waters...
It was no jackpot that Las Vegas ever experienced as rains caused overflowing and floods to residents of Las Vegas. On Wednesday, September 12, 2012 the rains poured at least 2 to 3 inches in only one hour and came hard and fast according to news reports in Las Vegas. At least 50 people were rescued from their automobiles and dozens were flocking to safety by evacuating their neighborhoods. The flood waters knocked over heavy dumpters and pavements were covered with a roaring rush of waters. Some residents said the sound of the waters sounded like a boom! Weathermen said that this was a first of rain flooding in this magnatude. No casulaties were reported, but it was unclear if one man reported missing was ever found. "Roads were turned into rivers."
