From a young age, Geamol has always been a caring person and ready to give his last for someone else. His goals in life are not to get rich or to be world famous, but to start and run an organization that will help young people to improve their artistic skills and teach them how to get published. As a teen author who struggled to find the support and knowledge to advance his own writing career, he understands the challenge young people face today and will make a difference in many lives thoughout his career. He has been a part of several programs such as Upward Bound, Furry Writers Group, Pathfinders, Yearbook Artistic Editor, CAAEL, Tennis Team, Student of the Month, Honor Roll, and earned the 2012 Citizenship Award from his school. He also recently had his first short story published, 'The Gladiator', that tells a breath taking story of love, adventure, magic and triumph. He is an aspiring entrepreneur in his first term at Rasmussen College earning his Bachelor's in Business Management with a minor in Internet Marketing. We are so proud because he is the first grandchild to attend college.
Why is all this important? Geamol comes from a single parent home and we simply cannot afford to send him to college right now without your help. A $10,000 scholarship will be paid to the winner of Sallie Mae's Picture of Pride photo contest that ends this Monday July 9th.
