YOUR NATIONAL WEATHER
JULY 2012
1st Day

July began it's first day with a large midwest storm which logged in numerial damages of properties, trees and overwhelming power outages. At least 3 million homes, businessess were zapped to powerless and into nights of heatwaves and darkness! Hardist hit areas were Washington D.C., suburbs in Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia. Damages were as servere in some areas with copy-cat damages of those of a hurricane. In addition, since the large populated areas are without power increases health hazards due to high degree temperatures in the 100 degrees. There were several fatalities in Virginia and New Jersey and Maryland as well as in Washington, Ohio and Kentucky. Weather experts said the storm was a "derecho" which is a straight-line wind storm that sweeps over a large area at with high speed winds. Restoration of power will progress slowly as power crews are requesting aids to it's millions of customers across those states. Many may have to wait up to a week; or perhaps longer before total power is restored.

They've been zapped!
Zap! up prayers for the victims and their recovery!

Usually diasters have productivities to follow. I would think there may be employment increases to follow however, in my opinion it will be a slow recovery.

What a really bad storm. My in law who lives in Maryland isn't expecting power to be up and running until Sat. or Sun. Yuck!

Still many are without power and are suffering in the heat wave. Locally, we got rain last night and that cool breeze felt pleasant this morning. We also had a few power outages which the rain somehow caused, but the winds were really mind. Hope everyone is okay Jen.
YUCK? You know, I thought I was the only one that used that word! LOL!

Bride, hate to bring up how insurance companys don't like to pay claims. I felt so sorry for the lady today who said they had thrown out the other food in the refrig. and are worried about the new supply. It is these little things that gets to us...out here most of us have generators, but we are either under floods or burnin gup, and these people it is their first time with this. (smile)
