RECENT POLL REPORTS RETIREMENT AGE IS IDEAL AT 67 (718 hits)
Americans are expected to retire at 65 may find that they'll work a little longer and retire at 67. These results were conducted by a recent Gallup poll involving 1,016 adults. According to the poll the past 17 years from 60 in 1995 to 64 in 2005 the expected retirement age has been gradually increasing. At least 39% of workers now plan to retire after age 65 and this up from 30% before the recession in 2007. Gradually people who think they'll retire early has declined significantly over the past five years. 13% of workers are now aiming to retire at age 60 are down from 18% in 2007. As far as early reitirement the poll stated that only 6% will retire before age 55.
