Kim Jon Un made his first public appearance on April 15, 2012 in front of ten of thousands of supporters. Kim Jon Un celebrated words remembering his grand father's Kim II Sung 100th day birthday. Celebrations of the huge crowd greeted Kim Jon Un official first speech of his appointment as top miliitary post. He also spoke on strengtening the "military first " "Let us go on to for our final victory" he chanted also "Mansei!" which translates as "long life" Although the crowd was enlighted, the nation suffered a dissappointment with it's recent rocket launch which resulted in failure and there were reports of opposition among some rebels. Rallys of the Korean People Army pledged faithfully to serve and with his wishes. Kim Jun Un was named officially the "Great Successor"
